Is Photography Dead? ~ News Week Reaction

I tend to agree with some of the sediment in the NewsWeek article. I do feel like photography's innocence has been taken to a certain degree. In the past when someone wanted to prove something all they had to do is show a photo to confirm it. Now days a photo almost means nothing, with the advent of photoshop and other photo manipulation tools.

I also feel like photography has lost a bit of its "cool" factor. When something is exclusive or difficult to do and only a select few are good at it then it makes it that much cooler. Now with the digital era anyone can get a moderately priced camera and start snapping pictures that look just as good as a professional.
